Children’s Books Gift Guide- In collaboration with Round Table Books & Rogan’s Books

Hello everyone!

This post is VERY delayed but I’m so happy to finally bring you my children’s bookish gift guide in collaboration with Round Table Books & Rogans Books, two of my favourite indie children’s bookshops! I just want to say the biggest thankyou to Layla from Round Table & James from Rogans for putting together this list of brilliant books aimed at children 7 and under, where there truly is something for everyone!

Some information about each bookshop & how you can order these books (& others!) directly from them before we get started;

ROUND TABLE BOOKS is an inclusive bookshop in Brixton. Launched by children’s publisher Knights Of, the bookshop exclusively sells inclusive titles – focussing on representation of race, gender, ability and social mobility. At the moment they don’t have an online shop – launching soon – but people are able to make orders with them in the shop.

Rogan’s Books is an independent children’s bookshop based in Bedford. Our core belief is that every child should be able to find themselves in a book. We specialise in feminist, LGBTQ+, BAME character led and STEM books. We love poetry, and books about being brave, yourself and connecting with your feeling. We stock from baby board books all the way to Young Adult and our favourite grown up titles…
Every book we stock is curated by the owner Rachael or her trusty volunteer James, and we pride ourselves on knowing a little bit about everything we sell.
We can also supply books worldwide, direct from our suppliers warehouse – with very reasonable postage, just drop us a mail at and we can recommend some titles and do a delivery quote!
